May 31 1st June, 3rd friend to leave CambodiaSiv Monirath, a friend who didnt come to class much, but his absence is for good. But now, his absence really makes me feel apart. Although we know each other for nearly two year but, our relationship seems like brother. HEs going to Long Beach, according to him, hes going to live there. Its kinda nightmare to me, i remember the departure of my apprentice 3 years ago really make me sad coz it was too quick. Now, one month and there are 3 friends on the move. Wish him good luck with his future there. Another Friend Departure:Here the day passes by, morning i woke up and my friend is gone to US. His name is Lee Ratanak, one of the M4 member just like Heak Sothea. Ratanak also a member of my studying club... hes one active and great illustrator to any excercise. Ratanak also play football for 12 F2 and hes wears No 5. His favourite nickname is Jet Ly, coz he wants to demonstrates his LEE. Anyway, hes going to Georgia. Hes arrive on 28th May, 3 days after departure. A few days before he set off, he invited some friends to have pizza at Sorya. Thats nice of him. We will miss him and regard him as one of the bright future boy of 12 F2. May 26 5th day: Saigon to Phnom PenhThe deadline of our journey is today. We was taken to see some site of the city before leaving Saigon. We headed back to the Khmer-Vietnam border... and we reached there at 9am. We checked in and out, and wait for another 2 hours before resumes our return journey. WE had lunch before departure though. We travelled for 2 hours before the bus stopped for a few minutes due to engine problem. Quite lucky we were, coz everyone was missing their home like crazy.
I arrived home at 4 pm. 4th day: Dallat to SaigonThe fourth day starts at 7 am when we departed to one waterfall resort. I can have time to relax my mind and try to refresh my head. WE didnt spend much time there, coz we hurried to return to Saigon.
As we arrived at Saigon at about 4pm, the guide leads us to Anh Dong Supermarket. I and my friend bought sport shirts and we hurried to the bus. But we arrived late, everyone was waiting with anger. We have to sorry them along the way. But, actually, its not US who sorry them, coz there was one more person who arrived later than us.
WE had a wonderful dinner on a boat. I never had dinner like this before, its quite romantic. The 4th night was an early sleep, since everyone spent all their money so we couldnt play card or go out. :D, actually, i think this is important to sleep early coz we were about to leave tomorrow. May 22 3rd Day: DallatFirstly, we stayed here for 2 days. After had breakfast, we headed to the Valley of Love... where two lovers had committed suicide. The story of this valley is really exciting, but i cant remember the story. The weather is colder than yesterday. The Valley of Fantasy was the second place to visit that day... very beautiful... but the valley of love do makes me feel more. There, the Valley of Fantasy, we met 5 Viets girls. My friends flirted them... im not... i dont think its a good idea. Anyway, we didnt get anything from them, just a phone number. WE arrived at the Julin Temple in the evening...
Anyway, we headed to many various place but i think there is no interesting story to tell. The 3rd nite is exactly like the second nite... Second day: Saigon to DallatAs for second day, we were going to Dallat, cold, remote but crowded and beautiful city on the mountain.
In the morning, all of my friends still asleep, coz we had had a little sleep the previous night, had been playing card until 1:30 pm. But i was not the first one to get up and prepared for the trip. I was lying on bed, listening to music. Lol... but we still managed to catch up with everyone else of our tour trip team (team C). We had breakfast at the hotel, the food was not good at all, but what else can we get? i dont know much Vietnamese and i dont where there serves better food. Moreover, it would be unwise to go to have breakfast outside, coz we would delayed the trip.
We set off at about 7am... heading to Soi Teng... another resort, entertaining ground. We spent about 3 hours there: we tried another rolling coster... but this one wasnt as exciting and horrifying as the one in Dam Sen. We experienced the Haunting underground passage... man... we entered there with other 20 people but i got out only with one of my friend: Loung. I kept waiting for the others to come out and it had been 30 minutes since i found the exit... wonder what had they done in there? DROLLz.... We visited many other places in there... including the hell...
We quitted Soi Teng and went to have lunch in somewhere central between Dallat and Saigon. On the way up to Dallat, we crossed the hill and valley... the road is really terrifying us... and the driver did drive really fast like racing in the NEED FOR SPEED. U know what: HE LOST HIS PHONE WHEN WE WERE IN SOI TENG... maybe he was too furious about it... we felt sorry about this.
Okay, we reached Dallat at about 6pm... and we headed to Restaurant before going to the hotel. Hotel in Dallat doesnt contain Air Conditioner ,coz the weather is the Air Conditioner itself.
At night... we went to the Market and the famous shopping place in Dallat... we walked around until 10pm and we returned to the Hotel. At that night, we played card again... until 3am... really, really exhausted. The Trip to Vietnam: 1st Day: Phnom Penh to Saigon CityI woke up at 3am, took bath, got dress and re-checked my properties for this 5-day trip. As everything was alrite, i called to wake my other 4 friends to assure that they know the time. So, i got to the Tourist Company Headquater before the others, and wait until all of them arrived and we set off. In the bus, there were nearly 40 people, mostly old people with small children. I sat at the half back of the bus, try to sleep more. We were travelling for 3 hours before we reach NEAK LERNG, where we had to cross the river by the local ferry. We arrived at the Cambodia-Vietnam Border in Bavet at 10 am... we checked in and wait for the others, and we re-set off for Saigon at 11 pm. We had lunch at 2 pm and we reached the hotel before 3. We agained, travel to DAM SEN resorts and we had fun there until 5 pm. Although we got a quick-schaduled trip, but we had much fun... specailly the rolling coster really mad my friends silent coz of its terrifying speed. It did shocked me as well, plus, it was about to rain and there were lightening... really scary. We returned to the Hotel after dinner, but we didnt stay there for too long. I came out to nearby internet cafe whereas my friends go to night club. At mid-night, we played card until 1:30 am in the morning and we slept for some energy re-gaining. May 09 Farewell my dear friendSothea has been my friend for 4 years... although we are now apart coz hes migrated to USA, but we still friend.
Yesterday, he left Cambodia and fly to his new home in USA (i didnt ask him which state) i was not there to say farewell. We did have a farewell party 2 days ago at Lucky Seven Restuarant and i think i did enough to show my appreciation that he found his new destination. Hes a nice person and hes helpful as well. I remembered that year when we went to school together, hes always came and picked me up at home and took me to school. I do hope we can chat in MSN or YM or in the forum. I wish he has a great life there.
Farewell Sothea
May 04 ITs 9am... im still in bathroom.What a morning for me? it never happened before. I just sit and looked at my watch, it showed 7 am. So, i just did thing in a reasonable speed... not too rush. But when i got to School, i realized that its not 7am, its 9am. WTF? May 03 CF is backWhat a day for me! Cambodiaforum is back... i must spend my time posting here. Anyway, i do miss all the CF members and now, its truly wonderful to be back to place i belong. Anyway, I have a good progress at AF and WCF so i will spare time with CF. It would be tough for me coz posting in 1 main forum is already hard... and now, i got to pursue 3 big forums. But i will do it, coz this is my will and im doing it for good so i have no regret. May 02 Destination: VietnamThere are holidays coming... 12th May to 17th May... what a rest? what a break? there is no ritual ceremony... no serious & personnal involvement in these 5 days... people are completely free from work. So... what will be my plan?
My brother ask me if i can go and visit him at Bangkok, my mom really wants to go to Singapore and Malaysia... but my friends invite me to join their journey to Vietnam for 5 days. Thats exactly what i've been waiting for. The possibility that i will go to Bangkok is less than Singapore coz i will be alone on the trip until i reach Thailand. However, the trip to Singapore and Malaysia also unclear coz it would be two days after her arrival from a huge ceremony at her homeprovince... and she would be too exhausted to travel on plane. So, the other option is left undoubt... and as my dad allows, i will go to Vietnam with my friends and im 80% sure. Im really looking forward to this journey. |
